Clermont Downtown Parking Garage: City Hall Site Chosen

What Happened: Clermont leaders selected the lot behind City Hall for a proposed downtown parking garage after considering another site near Mineola and Seventh avenues. City officials estimate that a garage could increase capacity there from just over 100 spaces to about 400. Who It Affects: Downtown visitors, nearby businesses, employees and residents who use the existing lot could see more parking after completion. Construction would temporarily reduce parking in that area. A design, budget and opening date have not been finalized.
