Before you drive! Downtown Mount Dora Traffic Is Changing — Here’s What’s Becoming One-Way

Downtown Mount Dora began seeing a new traffic pattern last week. Starting September 1, the city began converting portions of Alexander Street, Baker Street and Tremain Street from two-way to one-way traffic, beginning with Alexander Street. The changes are intended to improve traffic flow, emergency vehicle access and parking downtown. The project is being completed in phases, so drivers should watch for new signs and pavement markings as additional sections change. If downtown is part of your regular route, your usual way around may look a little different.
