New Business Filing Brings Fresh Attention to Tavares' Historic Train Depot | TAVARES 08/25/2026

Something may be stirring at Tavares' old train depot. Residents may remember plans announced several years ago to transform the historic property at 424 E. Alfred Street into a 1920s-themed food hall and taproom. That project never reached an announced opening — but LCN found something newer. A Florida company called Grand Slam Entertainment LLC was formed with the historic depot listed as its principal address. Even more interesting: two of the company's managers were previously associated with the group behind the original food hall proposal. Does that mean Gatsby's Underground is finally coming?
